Back to the grind: Latest Gwynnie Bee Shipment

Image
I haven't posted in months. What happened? Life happened. Things always get pretty crazy leading up to fall and then of course...fall. Fall is intense. I travel a LOT for work so as expected my hobbies and passions sometimes get put on the back-burner. Due to all the travel I had to discontinue my Gwynnie Bee subscription until things calmed down a little bit. Thankfully, now that travel is winding down I have re-opened my account! Yay!   Join Gwynnie Bee Today for a Free 30 Day Trial I was super excited when my first package back at Gwynnie Bee arrived on Saturday. Unfortunately, the dress was not flattering at all.  I received the "Zulu Printed Pleated Sheath In Blue". I loved the pattern of this dress and really, really wanted to try it out despite the negative reviews I had read from other Gwynnie Bee members. Yes, I am stubborn!  Most of the reviews said to order 2 sizes up! I am typically reluctant to order anything higher than a 16 but I

What is Gwynnie Bee? The best way I can explain it is...Netflix for clothing. Essentially you sign up for a subscription to have a specific amount of clothing articles out at a time (1-10 items) and you return them as you like. check it out here:  Gwynnie Bee I was skeptical at first. But then I noticed that I could try the first month free!! So I jumped all over that! Get your first month free here:  Free Month at Gwynnie Bee A few notes about Gwynnie Bee: For women sizes 10-28 Unlimited free shipping--including return shipping! 30 day free trial period--no reason NOT to try it! :) Only 2-4 days to receive shipments You don't have to wash/dry-clean before sending it back Keep the items as long as you like (while you are a monthly subscriber) They prepare/send your next shipment as soon as you notify them that you are dropping your current items in the mail! It is amazing! They personalize your shipments! (See below!) These items fit your changing styles!

Outdoor Space Makeover

It is time for a home improvement update! Luckily for me this home improvement project merely required a broom, some $$, and a vision.  One of the perks to the lovely home we are renting is the amazing deck! It is huge! I will post photos for proof of that.  Fun fact: we actually got married on our deck and many of our guests were seated on the deck and the rest in the lawn area. I know...you are thinking, well that's absolutely glamorous. But in all seriousness it was an intimate, small(er) ceremony like we wanted. It truly was such an amazing day!  All 'deck'ed out for the wedding:   Here you can see some of the rows on the deck and of course...the kiss ;) There were approximately 7 rows of people seated on each side of the deck...approx 30 people total. I love the trees in this photo! This lets you see how we had the seats on the lawn, which you kind of saw above.  And finally, the wonderful family I married into. You can see

Cool Blue from Antrhopologie

I just LOVE the color blue. My Coach purse is blue, my iPhone case is blue, my dress is even blue today. Some of that comes from my school colors--Charger Blue & White. Which is why the e-mail I got from Anthropologie today made me super happy! "Chilled-out Shades of Blue & White" I must say, I pretty much want one of everything. But a few highlights to share: 1.  Ruffled Azul Dress   2. Beaded Boteh Scarf   3. Beach Shade Romper   4. Chambray Cut-Out Dress   5. Stark Chevron Wallet   6. Varadero Rope Bracelet   7. Sapelo Maxi Dress It should be pretty obvious that I love long dresses/maxi dresses. I adore the romper; however, it is not something I would buy for myself. My sister would look amazing in it! Anything chevron makes me happy, but I don't think I can justify spending that much on a wallet. I do believe I may splurge for the scarf and bracelet. I adore this Bonitas Sunshine Dress by Free People . I love the details down the neckline.

Lucky Brand Shoes, summer loves and Gatsby dreams.

I have wanted Lucky Brand Shoes for a while now and I am proud to say that I finally have some! I happened across these cheetah print shoes and they were on sale! I don't typically go for animal prints but these were absolutely calling my name. They were regularly $59 and I got them for $20.65. I count that as a shopping success! I got mine at a department store here in Huntsville, but if you want these and you wear an 8.5 you can still order them on the Lucky Brand website.  They are still discounted a bit online. If you want an absolute steal and more versatile cheetah flats consider these from  H&M.  Only $12.95! Awesome! I've been web-browsing a lot to see what I may want to add to my collection of summer favorites. Here are a few: I absolutely adore these and love this print but I am not sure I can justify spending $50 on them if I don't already have outfits in mind.  Do you typically buy outfits to go with your shoes or vice versa? If you lo
