Outdoor Space Makeover
It is time for a home improvement update! Luckily for me this home improvement project merely required a broom, some $$, and a vision.
One of the perks to the lovely home we are renting is the amazing deck! It is huge! I will post photos for proof of that.
Fun fact: we actually got married on our deck and many of our guests were seated on the deck and the rest in the lawn area. I know...you are thinking, well that's absolutely glamorous. But in all seriousness it was an intimate, small(er) ceremony like we wanted. It truly was such an amazing day!
All 'deck'ed out for the wedding:
Here you can see some of the rows on the deck and of course...the kiss ;)
There were approximately 7 rows of people seated on each side of the deck...approx 30 people total.
I love the trees in this photo! This lets you see how we had the seats on the lawn, which you kind of saw above.
Photography courtesy of Ms. Tori Crews. We were very pleased with her work! I may do a DIY Wedding post later on and share more photos.
After the wedding:
It looks pretty sad and lonely right?
Well, not anymore! I finally got around to getting more outdoor furniture- including my amazing new orbital lounger!
Orbit Lounger Chair, Ebay $360
Brown Side Table, Lowe's $7 each
2 Sleepy Doggies, priceless ;)
I was so excited about this rug that I had to take a picture to send to my husband, Steven, as soon as I got in the car! This is a 9' x 10' rug that I got on sale at Tuesday Mornings. Only $60! Amazing deal!
Fire pit: Lowes, $60
Green Chairs: Lowes, $20 each
Green Citronella Candle: Lowes, $6
White Tables: Tuesday Mornings, $3 each
Brown Tray: Tuesday Mornings, $10
Rug: Tuesday Mornings, $60
Pillows, Tuesday Mornings, $8 each
The rug perfectly pulled together my small seating area, complete with our fire pit. Disclaimer: We have not used the fire pit on the deck! My mother is pretty sure we will set the deck and house on fire; however, we haven't even tried it yet. Lame, I know. But sometime this summer when S and I are both home we may venture out to the yard to try it or maybe get a grill mat in order to use it safely on the deck. Any recommendations on a grill mat I should get?
Solar Powered Lights: Tuesday Mornings, $20, 4 pack
Here is another find that I just might need from Amazon:
Last fun item for our outdoor space includes these pretty solar powered lights I got at Tuesday Mornings. I love these! I need to take updated photos because I actually did not leave them in the ground. I bought 4 pots from Lowe's, pretty flowers, and potting soil for these lights. They are now lighting up my deck-space at night! Love it!
For kicks and giggles:
Who remembers this phrase? I am "like, totally for sure" contemplating buying this. If nothing else it would annoy my dad and husband. ha! :) This t-shirt is by Wildfox.
